It is 43999 of GRAND SEIKO 2nd.

Three years after the launch of the first Grand Seiko, the Grand Seiko Second was sold as a top-of-the-line machine with a calendar.

This model started production in August 1963, and for the first six months or so, SD dial [bar indexes are made of solid gold] was used.
The star mark at the 6 o'clock position is the mark of SD dial and its print is delicate and cool.

This GS 2nd had many variations of dial, case, and movement, and many of them have had the back cover, case, dial, and mechanism replaced in later repairs.
It is one of the most difficult vintage Grand Seiko models to find in original condition.
In recent years, redial have also been produced, so that should also be noted.

This watch is an SD dial from November 1963 and is all original including the case, movement and dial.
The dial is damaged, but is a rare original dial.
Also, the crown of this watch is the original crown with a large letter W, which is rare and valuable.

The movement of this watch is in good condition, with good accuracy and I think it maintains the state at that time.
(In our shop, we adjust the error of the day rate after 12 to 24 hours by referring to the value of the timegrapher of the position when using the watch)

このモデルは1963年8月に生産が開始され、最初の半年ほどはSDダイヤル文字盤［バーインデックスが金無垢］が採用されていました。
6時位置のスターマークはSDダイヤルのマークで、そのプリントは繊細でクールな印象です。
そして年代によって文字盤、ケース、ムーブメントが変化していきバリエーションが豊富なモデルです。
そのため、修理の際に裏蓋やケース、文字盤、機構を交換されているケースが多いようです。

この時計は1963年11月に製造された最初期のSDダイヤルで、ケース、ムーブメント、文字盤に矛盾のないオリジナルです。

この時計のムーブメントは精度も良く、当時の状態を維持していると思われます。
(当店では使用時の位置のタイムグラファーの値を参考に12〜24時間後の日差の誤差を調整しています)
